Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
A baby was strapped to my back, while one crawled inside the playpen. I spent 12 hours days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, and with just one child. Ha! The whole thing started to seem logical, however it was still far from being finished. It would take money, effort, as well as my personal favorite for furniture to decorate this home. To keep within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales looking for of diamonds. We would go from between Thursday and Saturday in garage sales and estate sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. In the end, I stenciled and polished the driveway throughout the week. It was a bit like the picture below... This is the time my love of the restoration of furniture first began. I continued to work on furniture even after we had furnished our house. At the local market, I rented a small space and sold some pieces. Then, my collection got to the point that the space I had available was inadequate. In my own home, I started hosting open houses, where over 1000 people could come in and purchase any product they wanted from the first floor in just one weekend. Growing Days is the result from this. Apart from my successful business, I also grew our family. It was like I was able to find the perfect way to balance being a mom and starting my new company. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora, my 4th kid was born in 2013. Although I was happy with the direction my business was taking, I realized that I needed to take a little break. I took a pause from making vintage furniture, and slowed down my pace to be at home to take care of the kids. This was just the thing I needed. But after a couple of months after that, the phone began to call. People were calling me and asking for help with their interior decorating and home renovations. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses that were held for furniture. While I was working I began adding clients one by one. But it wasn't long before I had many clients and operated a successful home remodeling business. It is likely that I would have laughed if somebody had informed me that my company was to become part of a forthcoming tv program on DIY Network. In fact, I laugh slightly when I recall the story.
