April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited curiosity. The first song she wrote was called Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. When she was 14 April spent a lot of time to writing song ideas and practicing her musical skills. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father and write at home in NY and LA. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing with such things as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart has her own fan base and works as a lifestyle blogger at the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Her birthplace didn't come with a left-hand, which is the reason she's who she is. It's just not the full story. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't focus solely on her disability. What is the message? The message is: We all have multiple identities and are far more complicated than we believe we are. Lockhart is interviewed through video from Nashville. "I don't want it to define my existence. I'm not looking to be merely known as a disability expert. But it does not affect my daily routine. I continue to do the normal things and have adjusted to my disabilities. Since it's a an integral part of me, it's something that's worth talking about. Lockhart has served as an excellent example to other women in the area of self-acceptance. She has been through times when she was uncomfortable dressing in certain styles that showed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts pictures of herself in these outfits on social networks with a sense of pride. Self-love, she says, is a process. "I do not think that you'll be in that place," she said. The same is true for everybody regardless of degree of self-confidence. I think it is important to surround yourself with individuals who truly understand you.
