Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to be awarded a perfect score of 10 during an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach in later years found her around the age of six. She took part at the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. She took home three golds at her very first contest, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974, she was the junior all-round champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman to ever dismount parallel bars using a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the world of entertainment began in her teens when she began skating figure alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 at Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. At the age of a girl, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
