Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. Her fame is for portraying naive characters that are charming and likable. Adams grew as the seventh child of seven in Castle Rock Colorado. She began dancing and acting professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later at the Country Dinner Playhouse. Later in Minnesota, at a local theater, she was chosen to be a part of the mock documentary about beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. She moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles after making her debut on screen as the snarky but good-natured contestant. Leigh was discovered through actor Norma Shearer Leigh signed a agreement with MGM to begin her journey as a film actress in the mid 40s. Through the 1960s, Leigh appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
